Parcel costs, insurance and packing choices
Both an insured and an uninsured parcel go through the same review on the same inputs. The difference sits in what the outcome has to answer to.
Users shall carefully decide whether to purchase insurance or other protection services based on the value of the goods, transportation risks, and their own needs.

Insured
A policy
If a parcel is lost, partly lost, damaged, delayed or otherwise abnormal in transit, the compensation rules are subject to the platform's then-applicable insurance policy and service rules. There is a document behind the decision.
Not insured
A review
Whether an uninsured parcel may receive compensation, and the scope and standard of it, is subject to platform rules and the actual review result. Asking is still allowed; the answer simply has less to point at.
What insurance does not reach
The exclusion clause sits in the same agreement, one section further on, and it applies whatever you paid for protection.

The packaging clause, and why it is really an insurance clause
Section 4 of the agreement is about packaging requirements. Read it slowly and it is about liability.

The requirement is on you
Parcels must meet basic packaging requirements for international transport. For fragile items, liquids, powders, pastes and electronics, the user is expected to select appropriate packaging or value-added services according to the nature of the goods.

And so is the consequence
Damage, contamination, leakage, return or other loss caused by the nature of the goods, improper packaging, failure to apply necessary reinforcement, or concealment of special characteristics is borne by the user.

Which makes the add-on list a liability list
Waterproof packaging, moisture-proof bags, corner protection and air column filling appear on the official add-on page as services. In the light of section 4 they are also the record of a decision you made.

It can require correction, reinforcement or supplementary materials for a parcel that does not meet transport requirements, or decline to ship it.

A cost breakdown of one parcel, ordered by when the money leaves
Nine lines can appear on a single parcel, and they behave differently when something goes wrong. Some sit inside the figure a payout is measured against, some bought a service that has already been performed, and one of them is a discount rather than a payment. The right column is the one worth reading before the left.
Every number here is quoted from the page named beside it. The freight figure is the only one that is deliberately provisional: the Parcel and Billing Rules page, updated 14 April 2026 calls the amount quoted at submission an estimate and a prepayment, settled later on the chargeable weight the warehouse measures.
- The goods, at Submit Order
Inside the ceiling. This is the value a declared figure is meant to stand for, and the only line a transit loss is measured against.
- Domestic shipping inside China
Check the applicable refund and claim terms. It is usually folded into what the seller charges, and it paid for a movement that has already happened by the time anything goes wrong.
- Agent service fee
Not charged at present. FAQ Q3 describes a zero service fee model, which describes this fee line, not the operator’s total revenue or every optional service.
- Add-ons, chosen before packing
Check the applicable refund and claim terms. An add-on buys a record or a wrapping rather than value, and the official list sits on the Add-ons page, updated 17 April 2026.
- Consolidation rehearsal
RMB 20, prepaid. Deducted from the freight if the parcel then ships, and explicitly not refunded if the order is cancelled after the rehearsal, on the Parcel and Billing Rules page, updated 14 April 2026.
- Storage past the free period
Check the applicable refund and claim terms. RMB 0.1 per kg per day with a RMB 0.1 per item per day minimum, after 90 free days counted from the moment the status becomes Warehoused, on the Storage page, updated 21 April 2026.
- International freight
Settled separately from the goods. Quoted as an estimate, charged on the chargeable weight at packing, and argued over on its own terms if the parcel never arrives.
- Insurance, bought before dispatch
Check the current protection and refund terms. It changes what an answer to a claim can be rather than adding to the sum a claim is measured against.
- A coupon or points, applied at checkout
Nothing to return. A coupon offsets international freight only, one per order and without stacking, and points can offset at most a tenth of that parcel's freight. A discount was never a payment.
The notice feed is part of the record a claim is read against
A claim is assessed under the rules in force on the day the parcel moved, not the rules in force on the day a guide was written. LoongBuy publishes changes as dated notices, which makes the feed checkable, and makes it the buyer's job to check it. One official announcement between an order and a dispatch can change the route list, a rate or a fee.
The anti-fraud notice is the one to read first
Dated 27 April 2026. Additional payment is never requested through WhatsApp or social platforms. Payment notices arrive only through the official system or official email, and the only valid way to pay is inside the system after signing in. Support never asks for a full card number, a CVV or a verification code.
Screenshot the feed when the parcel goes out
A notice can be superseded by a later one, and the superseded version is not the one a review will be working from. A dated screenshot of the feed on the dispatch day costs nothing and settles which version applied.
Read a notice for what it moved, not for the offer
Several notices in 2026 carried a promotion. The ones that mattered to a claim were the quiet ones about routes and rates, because those are the lines that decide whether a parcel could have travelled the way the buyer assumed it did.

Compare two parcel choices using the same contents.
Start with an unchanged item list and destination. Write down the packed weight and dimensions, the route billing rule, the freight total and any separately selected packing or protection. Only then compare a second route. A cheaper headline figure can cover different contents, use another weight basis or exclude a service you need.
For example, a light padded garment and a small dense accessory create different packing questions. Removing the garment’s retail packaging may reduce space, but the packed result must be measured. Extra reinforcement can improve physical protection while adding weight. Neither choice guarantees a lower charge or a successful claim.
Keep payment conversion separate from parcel value. The amount charged by your payment provider, the usable balance credited and the later freight deduction are three different records. Compare equivalent amounts at the same time; do not combine a historical exchange-rate figure with a new shipping estimate.
Finally, read what the optional cover includes, excludes and requires as evidence. A fee paid for an inspection, a completed packing service or insurance is not automatically added to the goods value in a claim. The applicable refund and compensation terms decide how each line is treated; save those terms with the quotation you authorised.
